Tater Tott Casserole

TATER TOT CASSEROLE

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 medium size onion, chopped
  • 1 (No. 303 size) can English peas, drained, or 1 c. frozen peas
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup or mushroom (undiluted)
  • 1 large bag frozen tater tots

Brown hamburger and onions. Put into bottom of casserole and add drained peas or frozen peas. Spread undiluted chicken soup on top. Place frozen tater tots on top of soup. Cover and bake at 350° for 1 hour.

Note: Corn or green beans may be substituted for peas.

JAMIE'S TATER TOT CASSEROLE

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 diced onion (optional)
  • 1 bag tater tots
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can golden mushroom soup
  • 1 c. grated cheese
  • 1/2 soup can milk
  • 1/2 soup can water

Brown ground beef and onions, then season to taste. First layer tater tots in a large casserole dish or 9x13 inch baking pan, then add ground beef mixture. Mix 2 cans of soup along with the milk and water in separate bowl. Pour on top of ground beef and tater tots. Top with grated cheese. Spread remaining tater tots on top of mixture. Bake at 400° for 40 minutes.

This is great with a garden salad.
