Margaritaville Favorites

Havanas and Bananas

  • 3/4 ounce Cruzan dark rum
  • 3/4 ounce Bols creme de banana
  • 1 1/2 ounces Bailey's Irish Cream
  • 4 ounces (1/2 cup) Pina colada mix
  • 2 cups ice

Combine all of the ingredients in a blender and blend on high speed until the ice is crushed and the drink is slushy. Pour into a 16-ounce glass and garnish with an orange wedge on a cocktail toothpick.

(for full effect, sprinkle toasted coconut on top)

Don’t Stop The Carnival

Named after Jimmy Buffett’s hit album, this fruity Margarita is the ideal drink to have to raise a glass to man when the album begins to play. The other great thing about this option is that it is one of the most simple recipes to make.

This recipe calls for:

  • 4 1/2 oz. Margaritaville Silver Rum
  • 3 oz of the Strawberry Mix
  • 3 oz of the Banana Mix
  • 3 oz of the Mango Mix

It is a trio that some guests may not have thought to put together, but it works.

This is another simple mixture that gets blended up, goes straight into the glass, and straight onto the taste buds. You can drink it plain or garnish the sides in some way to make it a little prettier.

The Margaritaville Mambo

There is “no better name for a cocktail” than a margarita to get a Parrot Head party started and to get all your friends in the mood to relax than the Margaritaville Mambo. As the name suggests, this fruity little number adds a tropical twist to the typical recipe and uses some soft ingredients that blend brilliantly in your Margaritaville margarita machine.

Start with:

  • 1.5 oz of official Gold Tequila, then moves onto another of the company’s beverages
  • 3.5 oz of the Calypso Coconut Rum
  • 6 oz of Mango puree
  • 3 oz of pineapple chunks
  • The juice of 1 and 1/2 oranges
  • 3 oz of agave nectar for sweetness and the ice ready to go in the reservoir, simply blend it all together until smooth and serve with a pineapple ring on the glass rim.

Stranded On A Sandbar

Of course “Don’t Stop the Carnival” isn’t the only cocktail that you can make with your machine to honor the great man. One of his famous hits, Stranded on a Sandbar, also has a cocktail named after it. Again, this is incredibly simple to mix because there are only four ingredients that are used, and all four are liquids.

There are no lumps of fruit to worry about, so no time prepping the ingredients before the party or having to get out of the sun lounger to do some work.

All you need is the following and some ice:

  • 1.5 oz of Margaritaville Paradise Passion Fruit Tequila (not your basic gold or silver standard)
  • 5 oz of Peach Schnapps
  • 2 ounces of Orange Juice
  • 2 ounces of Cranberry juice

In no time at all, you are left with a simple, tasty margarita in your hand.

The Last Mango And Seven

Remarkably there is another Jimmy Buffett-inspired drink on the official Margaritaville drinks menu that is so simple; there is barely any need to blend it at all. This simple mixture of two ingredients will not suit everyone because it is so basic and uses a lemon/lime carbonated soft drink instead of real lemons and limes.

The appeal, however, comes from the clever play on words in the title. Not only do we have a new take on the Seven and Seven; there is the Last Tango reference in there too. The Last Mango And Seven are, therefore, a simple mixture of 2 parts Sprite to 1 part Margaritaville Last Mango Tequila.

Again, you can play with it as you please regarding garnishes and salt, and serve it over ice if not using your machine or have the ice already inside the machine.

The Automatic First Down Margarita

So far, all the references and names have all had a tropical feel to put drinkers in the mind of the beaches of summer holidays and other tranquil locations. This theme continues through the vast list of official recipes on the Margaritaville website – from the Green Iguana to the Tropical Lifesaver.

This then begs the question of why they decided to name one after an illegal football move. This does mean that it is a great alternative drink to mix up in your Margaritaville margarita machine for a Super Bowl party or to listen to a Sunday game while lounging in the garden.

Combine the following ingredients and have the ice already on your machine:

  • 1 1/2 oz of Margaritaville Silver Tequila
  • 3/4 oz of Melon Liqueur
  • 4 oz of Margaritaville Margarita Mix
  • 2 oz of Watermelon

Puree until smooth, then serve in a tall glass or margarita glass.

The Blue Moon Margaritaville

Once the party has started and the first rounds of drinks have gone down well, it is time to really wow the guests with some exotic colors and flavors.

Start with a pure blend of:

  • 7 oz of the foolproof Margaritaville Margarita Mix
  • 3 oz of the Silver Tequila
  • 1.5 oz of pineapple juice

It may all sound rather simple to start off with, but two special ingredients in this margarita recipe give the drink a winning edge that newcomers may not have tried before.

For the final pizzaz, add 1.5oz of Blue Curacao to the mixture to bring out a vibrant hue, blend it all together in your mixer and then, once smooth, add a rim of sugar to the glass rather than salt.

Fins Up!

Lastly, this list of top Margaritaville Margarita Recipes would not be complete without the ultimate salute. When the day is done, the drinks have been blended to perfection, and there is nothing left to do but sit back and relax, what else is there to say than “fins up!”.

The best way to say it is sure with a glass of the Fins Up! Margarita in your hand. This mix is another one that goes against the norm a little because it doesn’t use tequila, but it is still a refreshing, tropical drink.

Blend in your machine the following ingredients:

  • 3/4 oz of Margaritaville Spiced Rum
  • 3/4 oz of Margaritaville Silver Rum
  • 1/2 oz of Blue Curacao
  • 1 1/2 oz of Sweet & Sour

Serve in your favorite glass and garnish with a lemon twist.

Incommunicado

  • 3/4 ounce Conch Republic light rum
  • 3/4 ounce Bols Triple Sec
  • 3/4 ounce vodka
  • 3/4 ounce gin
  • 3/4 ounce Margaritaville gold tequila
  • 3/4 ounce grenadine
  • 1 1/2 ounces cranberry juice
  • 1 1/2 ounces pineapple juice
  • 1 1/2 ounces sweet-and-sour mix

Garnish

Lime wedge
